camilla luddington motion capture pain 'Grey's Anatomy' star Camilla Luddington gets painted for 'Tomb Raider' video game
Camilla Luddington is pulling double duty this week, playing doctor in training Jo Wilson on “Grey’s Anatomy” and…body painting?
Turns out the florescent paint are image reflectors to help animators transform Luddington into Lara Croft for “Rise of the Tomb Raider.” Luddington will be stepping into the boots of the famous video game gun wielding vixen for the second time after last year’s “Tomb Raider.”
“#tombraider fans. This is #mova. Florescent paint that is sprayed all over my face 2give 7000 points of ref!!!” the actress tweets with the glowing picture. According to the actress, regular motion dots only give 90 points of reference so the paint will add up to a much clearer capture — and the paint can only be seen in black light.
Luddington’s previous performance as Croft earned her a VGX nomination for Best Voice Actress.
“Rise of Tomb Raider” won’t be ready for play until holiday season next year, but you can catch Luddington on “Grey’s Anatomy” when it premieres September 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC
