bitsie tulloch grimm season 3 fall finale 'Grimm' Season 3: Bitsie Tulloch promises a 'twisted' take on Christmas

“Grimm” has a pretty huge and festive fall finale planned for Friday (Dec. 13). Just don’t expect the show’s take on Santa to be any less dark and creepy than their takes on Baron Samedi or El Cucuy were, though.

In fact, when asked to describe the two-parter “Cold Blooded” and “Twelve Days of Krampus,” Bitsie Tulloch simply says’ “It’s so twisted.” That goes for both “Grimm’s” take on alligators in the sewer and the legend of Krampus.
“I think that the alligator scene with the limbs being torn off, that’s pretty bada**,” Tulloch teases of “Cold Blooded.”

As for “Twelve Days of Krampus,” she says, “It’s a very twisted take on Santa. Nick [David Giuntoli] and Hank [Russell Hornsby] end up on the news for doing something kind of naughty themselves. Kids that are naughty, you’re not going to want to be naughty after you see this episode. It’s something that’s going on on the eve of the Winter Solstice, which is coming up in about a week or so.”

But there will be some festiveness stuck in the episode even though Krampus isn’t known as being the nicest guy.

“Nobody does Christmas better than Monroe [Silas Weir Mitchell],” Tulloch promises. “He might even do a better job on Christmas that he does on Halloween. You know Monroe loves holidays.”

For Tulloch, this is exactly the type of Christmas holiday episodes she expects from “Grimm” — and that’s why she’s so excited to share it.

“It’s just pretty exciting because I think it’s just a very cool episode. I think it would have been very easy to sort of do a slightly more benign, family-friendly Christmas episode, and they went completely in the other direction,” she says.

“Grimm” airs on NBC at 9 p.m. ET Friday on NBC.
