house of cards season 2 premiere date 'House of Cards' Season 2 premiere date set for Feb. 14, 2014Happy Valentine’s Day, “House of Cards” fans. Your favorite political series is back for its second season on Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, Netflix has announced.

All 13 episodes will be available for streaming immediately, though a time was not announced. If it follows the pattern of the first season (and other Netflix original series), it will be at 12:01 a.m. PST.

Season 2 promises to jump right back into the political intrigue of the first season — Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) and wife Claire (Robin Wright) will continue their grab for power, as Zoe (Kate Mara) and her cohorts work diligently to uncover Frank’s crimes.

Look for Gerald McRaney to reprise his role as Raymond Tusk, in addition to other returning faces Mahershala Ali, Sebastian Arcelus, Kristen Connolly, Nathan Darrow, Michael Kelly and Molly Parker. Episode directors include star Wright and actress Jodie Foster.

Season 1 of “House of Cards” took home three Emmys at last summer’s awards ceremony.
