Jimmy Fallon is known for his send-ups of popular television shows — we’re partial to “Downton Sixbey” from his days on “Late Night.” But on Tuesday’s (Aug. 12) “Tonight Show,” he may have outdone himself with “House of Cue Cards,” a parody of the popular Netflix political drama “House of Cards.”

Fallon’s version of Frank Underwood addresses the camera directly with a spot-on imitation of Kevin Spacey’s South Carolina drawl, and Ellen Barkin deftly steps into Robin Wright’s shoes as the Claire to Fallon’s Frank.

There’s also a funny nod to fellow Netflix show “Orange Is the New Black,” and, just like “House of Cards” is wont to do, a surprise twist at the end.

“House of Cards” returns to Netflix for Season 3 in early 2015.
