Moving away from the uproariously schmaltzy Hallmark-esque promos, the latest spots for Season 7 of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” showcase what the FX comedy does best: mock everyone and be incredibly crude, even by cable standards.
The first proper clips from the next batch of episodes, premiering Sept. 15, reveal that there will be a marriage proposal for Frank (Danny DeVito), some more musical antics — a possible “The Nightman Cometh” sequel? — and, perhaps hitting closest to our hearts, a “Toddlers & Tiaras” spoof.
The gang tackles child pageants this season, and in a brief sneak peek, the above trailer shows Charlie (Charlie Day) schooling the young ladies (and one boy) on the art of strutting.
FX has also released another promo featuring a montage of the series’ greatest and most absurd displays of foul language.
