jason sudeikis leaving snl Jason Sudeikis confirms 'Saturday Night Live' exit“Saturday Night Live” is going to need to find itself a new Joe Biden.

In a “Late Show” interview set to air on CBS Wednesday (July 24), Jason Sudeikis confirms what was already presumed by most fans of the venerable sketch show: He’s won’t be returning after a solid 10 year run.

“A person can go as long as they want — I mean, Lorne’s been kicking butt at it for 33 out of the 38 years,” Sudeikis tells host David Letterman. “But me, yeah, no — I’m definitely done.”

“Really? You’re leaving?” Letterman asks.

“Yeah, I’m gonna leave. Yeah, I’m not coming back next fall,” the “We’re the Millers” actor replies.

Sudeikis admits that, much like his former co-star Bill Hader (who also left the show when it wrapped up this spring), the reality of his decision hasn’t fully sunk in yet. “You start to get that itch probably in August, where all of these sketch ideas will show up. And I’ll be like, ‘Well, can I make this sketch idea last 90 minutes and turn it into a movie?!” he jokes. “Yeah, probably not.”
