Billy Bob Thornton is jumping back in the director’s chair for his newest movie, “Jayne Mansfield’s Car.” The movie also stars Thornton, who is joined by Robert Duvall, John Hurt, Kevin Bacon, Frances O’Connor and Robert Patrick.
The movie, set in 1969 Alabama, finds two sides of the same family, one from the U.S. south, the other from the United Kingdom, coming together after a death. They don’t necessarily get along, though.
After debuting at film festivals in 2012, “Jayne Mansfield’s Car” will hit video on demand August 20, before going to movie theaters on September 13.

Chris E. Hayner is equal parts nerd, crazy person and coffee. He watches too much TV, knows more about pro wrestling than you do and remembers every single show from the TGIF lineup. You may have seen him as a pro-shark protester in "Sharknado 3." His eventual memoir will be called "You're Wrong, Here's Why..." TV words to live by: "I'm a firm believer that sometimes it's right to do the wrong thing."
