jeb bush offered to buy marlins gi Jeb Bush offered to buy Marlins, Jeffrey Loria said 'no thanks' report

Jeffrey Loria, owner of the Miami Marlins has been turning down offers left and right from people who want to buy the team. One of those people is reportedly former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush
The Miami Herald cites sources who say Jeb made a “large offer” after putting together a group of high-roller investors, which may include Venezuelan media mogul Gustavo Cisneros.
Jeb’s brother, former President George W. Bush was part owner and managing partner of the Texas Rangers until 1998, taking a $14.9 million cut when the team sold. Little bro Jeb has refused to comment on whether he was after the same title with the Florida team.
Major League Baseball would like to see a Marlins owner with a bigger bankroll than Loria. But for now, it appears he’s not selling.
The Florida Marlins underwent a rebranding in 2011, taking the name Miami Marlins. The move accompanied a new logo, new uniform, and new ballpark. After a sorry first season, the team released manager Ozzie Guilln, and brought in Mike Redmond with a three-year deal.
