Jermaine Jackson, brother of the late King of Pop Michael Jackson, is set to appear Tuesday (Sep. 13) on “Nightline” to support his new book “You Are Not Alone: Michael, Through a Brother’s Eyes.” The book provides some controversial revelations into the life of the misunderstood popstar and his family.

  • Jackson touches on his father Joe Jackson’s infamous physical discipline, stating that “[Joe] wanted to show us, ‘I care about you…Even if I have to whip your butt, I care about you.”
  • Jackson claims that “it’s hard raising nine kids, bringing them from Indiana out [to Hollywood]…We wouldn’t want to be raised any other way, with the way he raised us.”
  • Jackson states that he was ready to take Michael out of the country if his 2004 molestation charges stuck. “We would have gone to the Middle East, to Bahrain, to Saudi…Why should he go to jail for something he didn’t do?”
  • At Michael’s funeral, Jackson pulled by Michael’s eyelids to “look in his eyes. And I just told him how much I love him.”
