It’s almost time for Joseph Gordon-Levitt to hit the small screen with “HitRECord on TV,” a variety show based on collaborations from his open source production company. The first trailer for the show has been released, and Gordon-Levitt is taking variety to a whole other level.
In the one minute compilation of shots, there’s music, animation, stage performances, short films, dancing and just about anything else you can possibly imagine. When watching the trailer, keep an eye out for some of the celebrity cameos, including director John Waters and a tap dancing Tony Danza.
“HitRECord on TV” premieres January 18 on the Pivot network, which officially launched in August. If the trailer is any indication, it’s going to be an incredibly unique viewing experience.

Chris E. Hayner is equal parts nerd, crazy person and coffee. He watches too much TV, knows more about pro wrestling than you do and remembers every single show from the TGIF lineup. You may have seen him as a pro-shark protester in "Sharknado 3." His eventual memoir will be called "You're Wrong, Here's Why..." TV words to live by: "I'm a firm believer that sometimes it's right to do the wrong thing."
