kate middleton marie claire photoshop Kate Middleton's head photoshopped onto model's body for Marie Claire South AfricaMagazine covers are so photoshopped nowadays that Marie Clair South Africa figured why not just start putting the head of whomever they want as the cover girl on somebody else’s body? That’s what they did for the August issue, which features Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. Her head, anyway. On the body of a fashion model.

Editor Aspasia Karrass tells the UK’s Telegraph, “We were so inspired by her fairytale wedding and her life as a modern-day princess, which is why we elected Kate Middleton as our cover star for the August issue. The cover is actually a hyper-real illustration of Kate, meant to be a fan art tribute to fashion’s new royal icon.”

The cover also sports the caption, “Kate Middleton: Fashion’s new royal icon wears SA’s best local designers*” and then the fine print reads: “*Of course she doesn’t. But she should.”

This comes on the heels of New Republic photoshopping Duchess Catherine with some nasty-looking teeth to illustrate the decaying British government. So far there has not been any response from the Royal family.
