Tuesday night (March 26), new “American Idol” judge Keith Urban stopped by “The Tonight Show,” where he spoke briefly about Nicki Minaj‘s tardiness to the live show two weeks ago.

When Leno asks about her being nearly 45 minutes late, Urban cracks, “Or very early for the following night.” He also says it didn’t make him nervous, “you just roll with it.”

Leno says, “You’re gonna be married a long time.” And we would like to add that we could not love Keith Urban more.

When asked about who he thinks might win, Urban diplomatically says, “Certainly, there’s a few, like Angie Miller, Kree Harrison, who are getting a lot of votes every week. Lazaro’s getting a lot of votes. It still comes down to choosing the right song and having the right performance on the night.”

But he adds, “It’s certainly a female’s sesason to lose, I think they’re so good this year.”

“American Idol” airs Wednesday and Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.
