Kelly Rowland has released an emotional new song called “Dirty Laundry,” the lyrics of which reveal the struggles she had with being jealous of fellow Destiny’s Child singer Beyonce and also of being in an abusive relationship that turned her against her friends.

During a performance in Washington D.C. over the weekend, Rowland got to the end of the song and broke down during the verse that goes:

He pulled me out, he said, ‘Don’t nobody love you but me
Not your
mama, not your daddy and especially not Bey’

He turned me against my
sister, I missed ya.

Rowland doubles over, shaking a little, then wipes the tears away as she manages to finish the song, to chants of “Kelly, Kelly” from her fans.

After the song is over, Rowland says, “I am so grateful to God that I have my girls to back me up,” and mentions Destiny’s Child, though it’s hard to hear exactly what she says.
