Krysten Ritter is joining the space race. The former “Don’t Trust the B—- in Apt. 23” star has taken a lead role in NBC’s comedy pilot “Mission Control” as a woman who comes into conflict with a macho astronaut during the run-up to NASA’s missions to the moon in the 1960s. Ritter will also be a producer on the project.

– Now that she’s no longer a series regular on “Homeland,” Morena Baccarin has found her next TV role. The “Firefly” alum will star in “Warriors,” an ABC drama pilot about military doctors and nurses. Her character is a psychiatrist and expert on post-traumatic stress who’s also suffering from the disorder following a stint in Afghanistan.

Noah Wyle may soon be pulling double duty on TNT. The “Falling Skies” star is in talks to join “The Librarians,” a series version of the three “Librarian” movies Wyle starred in several years ago. TNT is considering a straight-to-series pickup for the show, which would center on four people recruited by Wyle’s character (he would be a recurring guest star) to work for The Library, a repository of mythical and magical artifacts. Kip Pardue, best known for his role in “Remember The Titans,” has joined “Ray Donovan” for a multi-episode arc as FBI agent Volchek. He will work for fellow newcomer Hank Azaria‘s James Cochran, the head of the Los Angeles FBI. Other new actors joining “Ray Donovan” Season 2 are Wendell Pierce, Sherilyn Fenn and Vinessa Shaw. Ioan Gruffudd is becoming immortal. The “Ringer” and “Fantastic Four” actor has landed the lead role in ABC’s drama pilot “Forever,” playing a New York City medical examiner who studies the dead because he is immortal. Matthew Miller (“Chuck”) is writing the pilot. [Deadline]

– A pair of 1990s “Saturday Night Live” alumni have snagged pilot roles. Molly Shannon will star in an ABC comedy from writer Brian Gallivan (“Are You There, Chelsea?”). It’s about a family that moves to rural New Hampshire to run a vacation spot, hoping for but never getting the relaxed life they seek. Tim Meadows, meanwhile, has joined fellow “SNL” veteran Casey Wilson on NBC’s “Marry Me,” playing one of the newly engaged Wilson’s gay dads.
