avengers age of ultron trailer comic con 2014 Marvel at Comic Con 2014: 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' trailer teasers, Josh Brolin as ThanosThe Marvel movie panel at the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con may have been one of the most highly-anticipated events. And the “Avengers: Age of Ultron” trailer was the most highly-anticipated part of that.

Fortunately, the trailer lived up to the hype.
The video begins with a look back at earlier MCU movies, including recent ones like Black Widow testifying before Congress in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and the Thanos reveal at the end of “The Avengers.”
The “Age of Ultron” footage begins a lot less dramaticly. The Avengers are hanging out at Avengers tower, placing bets about who can pick up Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir. Thor rationalizes none can because they’re all “not worthy,” and that’s when Ultron first appears.
“How could you be worthy? You are all killers. You want to protect the world but you don’t want it to change. There’s only one path to peace … your extinction,” he says as his army of robots (the Iron Legion, we presume?) fly up and the Marvel logo appears.

The rest of the trailer is a bunch of quick scenes showing amazing sequences like Hulkbuster fighting Hulk, Thor smashing a tank and newcomers Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver being generally awesome. Then there’s the reveal of 8-foot-tall Ultron in all his glory.

The final, foreboding shots of the trailer show the Avengers defeated and seemingly dead lying on what many are speculating is Thanos’ tomb.
It’s all very epic. It’s unfortunately going to be a while before Marvel makes the trailer available to the public, though. “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” hits theaters on May 1, 2015.

In addition to showing the trailer, the “Avengers” panel revealed a rather big tease: Josh Brolin, who plays the character of Thanos, wearing a cheap, Hasbro version of The Infinity Gauntlet. Fans can see his version of Thanos for the first time in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” which is out in theaters Aug. 1, 2014.
