Gordon Ramsay and two “MasterChef Junior” contestants stopped by “The Queen Latifah Show” on Thursday (Oct. 3), where 9-year-old Sarah and 11-year-old Kaylen took part in an on-set mystery box challenge.

Ramsay tells Queen Latifah that the reason he wanted to do a junior edition of “MasterChef” is because “it’s great for confidence. [And] it’s about them understanding the importance of cooking.”

Below, Gordon and Queen sample the dishes, calling them two “very good dishes,” but the one that has the edge is Kaylen’s pasta dish.

“MasterChef Junior” airs Friday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.
