masterchef 510 recap fox 'MasterChef' Season 5, episode 10 recap: 'Top 12 Compete'

It was a night of love in the “MasterChef” kitchen. With only 12 home cooks left, they were split into two teams and made to prepare dinner and dessert for couples, including Gordon Ramsay and his wife. If there’s someone you don’t want to screw up in front of, it’s Mrs. Ramsay.
Ahran and Elizabeth, having won the challenge last week, served as team captains and the big surprise was that Ahran actually chose to partner with Leslie. Those two have had no shortage of grief to give each other, but they were able to put it behind them.
Unfortunately, it didn’t quite work out. Their team’s steak was far too under-cooked, while Elizabeth’s group delivered a perfectly-prepared lobster risotto. That led Ahran’s team straight to the pressure test.
It wasn’t an easy one, either. The cooks up for elimination has to make a box of truffles. It spelled certain disaster for Cutter, who has trouble with most pressure tests and never seems to excel at desserts. Shockingly though, he blew everyone away with a box of chocolates that were professional quality.

The same couldn’t be said for Christine or Leslie, as they landed in the bottom two. Leslie’s looked terrible, while Christine’s were far too bitter. It’s a surprise to see Leslie not doing well, because he typically aces pressure tests. He had just enough luck to stay alive in the competition, though. Instead the judges sent Christine packing. It’s not all that surprising, as she hasn’t really done much to make an impression during her time in the kitchen.
Eliminated: Christine
