Maurice Sendak, whose 1963 children’s book “Where the Wild Things Are” earned him the Caldecott Medal and the hearts of countless children and parents worldwide, would have been 85 on June 10, 2013 and to celebrate, Google has created an animated “Wild Things” Doodle for the author.
The Google Doodle shows “Wild Things” main character Max whooping it up with his wild thing friends before eventually sailing back home. The video of the Doodle, complete with music, is below.
Happy birthday, Mr. Sendak! We hope you’re having a wild rumpus wherever you are.
