Katy Perry dropped a sneak peek of her “Last Friday Night” video on Tuesday – a song she calls a “total vapid, slut jam” – and introduced the world to her geeky teenage alter-ego, Kathy Beth Terry. “Sasha Fierce is to Beyonce as @kathybethterry is to me,” Perry tweeted. “Yes my alter ego has been borned.”
Kathy Beth Terry, pictured above, describes herself as follows in her bio: “I’m 13 and in the 8th grade. I like Sudoku puzzles,

(Kathy Beth Terry sounds an awful lot like us, circa 1995, but… let’s not talk about it.)
Perry’s alter-ego’s first tweets take us on a nostalgia roller-coaster ride, reminding us of our Tiger Beat fueled love for Devon Sawa (who joined in the fun) and Jonathan Taylor Thomas, and even professing her love for Sugar Ray’s “I Just Want To Fly” and glow-in-the-dark stars as she lamented her lack of party invitations.
On Facebook, our new BFF KBT name-dropped Jared Leto (oh, Jordan Catalano) and “Boy Meets World” hottie Rider Strong.
All in all, Katy Perry accomplished two things with her new alter ego. She made us totally want to race out and buy “Last Friday Night.” And she made us really glad that Twitter didn’t exist when we were 13-year-olds making solar system dioramas.
