drew ryniewicz fox Meet 'The X Factor' finalist: DrewAs “The X Factor”
voting is now in the hands of the viewers, it seems an appropriate
time to give fans insight into the finalists. Zap2it will continue to
highlight the remaining acts while finding out more about their
background, musical styles and experiences on the singing competition.

So here are a few things you probably didn’t know about Drew Ryniewicz:

Age: 14
Hometown: Chino Valley, AZ
Coach: Simon Cowell

Musical Influences: Adele, Justin Bieber, Kelly Clarkson, Michael Jackson

Favorite Album: “21” – Adele

On auditioning for “The X Factor”: “I really, honestly wanted to meet Simon…I just wanted to sing in front of him because I wanted to know what he, out of every person in the world, what he thought of me because I thought that he was going to say the exact truth…And when he said that I was good and exactly what he was looking for…that’s when I was like, ‘Woah. I can really do this.'”

On L.A. Reid’s criticisms: “L.A. Reid has told me numerous times, ‘I want to see you move around. I want to see you do something upbeat.’ And it’s like Adele doesn’t move around a lot. And she’s exactly like the type of genre I want to be in. Obviously I want to go a little more pop than her, but she’s just true to who she is and stands there.”

On what she enjoys most in the competition: “The ensemble numbers that we do just because, like last week, it was the craziest, cheesiest thing ever (medley of Pink’s ‘Raise Your Glass’ and ‘So What’). And that was so fun…It’s fun to get to work with the other contestants for once and not be competing.”

On misconceptions of Simon Cowell: “People are like sometimes like, ‘Simon’s so mean.’ But he’s not, he’s just honest…And I really like that in him.”

If she could perform any song on “The X Factor”: “I want to do a hard core rock & roll song that people know as a rock & roll song and switch it up.”

On her new-found celebrity: “I’ve always dreamed of becoming a star, but I never imagined it actually happening. It’s nothing like I imagined, it’s better”
