Former child star Melissa Gilbert was a guest on “Watch What Happens Live” Wednesday (Jan. 22), and host Andy Cohen wanted to go a little deeper into some things she wrote about in her 2010 book, “Prairie Tale,” where the “Little House on the Prairie” star speaks quite candidly about growing up in Hollywood in the 1970s and ’80s.

Cohen: Did Rob Lowe (her one-time fiance) ask you to take anything out of the book?
Gilbert: “He asked me to take out the word ‘pretty’ when I referred to him. That was it. … ‘Just could you do one thing? Could you take out the word ‘pretty’? I hate it when people call me pretty.'”

Cohen: On a scale of 1-10, how big an a-hole is Scott Baio?
Gilbert: “6-7.”

Cohen: Billy Idol once took you to Rick James’ house, which you called “the scariest place you’d ever been to.” Why?

Gilbert: “Because I thought I was gonna get gang-banged.”

Cohen: Shannen Doherty had a one-night stand with your first husband (Bo Brinkman). What would you say if you saw her on the street?
Gilbert: “I wouldn’t say anything, I would just punch her in the nose.”

Caller question: Do you keep in touch with your castmates?

Gilbert: “Yes, I do keep in touch with the castmates … I’m really close with Alison Arngrim, who played Nellie. We were friends growing up, we would have slumber parties, and we’re really, really tight now.”

Caller question: Arngrim has said Melissa Sue Anderson (Mary) was the most difficult to work with. Do you agree or disagree?
Gilbert: “I’m going to phrase this in the gentlest way I can by saying that Melissa Sue Anderson and I were just not too awfully close, ever. Even for a moment. She was a hateful, horried, mean, terrible, mean, difficult — she hated me. She knocked me off the wagon … when I was 9. Literally, she elbowed me off of the covered wagon.”

Caller question: Is it true you dated Tom Cruise?
“That is true. When I dated him, he was Tom Mapother still. He had just moved to Los Angeles. … I did not have sex with him. We made out, but honestly, there was no sex. … He was a struggling actor and I was working, I actually bought him his first set of dishes.”

Caller question: Who is your favorite co-star you’ve worked with?
Gilbert: “The most influential would be Michael Landon, and the most fun.”
