morgan spurlock inside morgan spurlock cnn 'Morgan Spurlock Inside Man': 'We are a fantastically religious nation'

Zap2it: Are you the subject in each episode of “Morgan Spurlock Inside Man”?
Morgan Spurlock: In every episode I take you inside what the story is. I take you inside every story, every problem. I am your tour guide and your counselor. I am your ambassador, your partner in crime, and I can be put in terrible situations so you don’t have to.
Zap2it: How is this different from other documentary series?
Morgan Spurlock: There are documentary series and reality shows, and what we really do is we make sure it really does deal with reality. You don’t get a sense of us trying to create [situations]. They are the things in the headlines.

Zap2it: What do you hope people take from the show?
Morgan Spurlock: With every episode, as we talk about these different issues, what I really want is for people to walk away with their own opinion. Most of the time you would be hard-pressed to find what I do believe. A lot of times we are so complacent, we are so removed and think it doesn’t affect us. You should have an opinion.

Zap2it: What are some of the subjects you tackle?
Morgan Spurlock: We look at religion in America. We are a fantastically religious nation, and we follow the Sunday Assembly. About one-third of the people in the country don’t affiliate with any religion and people are pulling away from organized religion. Assembly Sunday created a church and are talking about helping one another, doing good deeds … [In another episode], we go on the hunt for UFOs.
