She’ll play a 30-something woman who is still living with her parents in Cincinnati when her brother arrives home bearing tons of money and a missing wife. The Theresa Rebeck-penned play (Rebeck was one of “Smash’s” co-creators) is set to open sometime in fall 2012, though a firm date hasn’t yet been set. Jack O’Brien is attached to direct, according to The Wrap.
Holmes made her Broadway debut — to middling reviews — in 2008 when she starred opposite John Lithgow and Dianne Wiest in Arthur Miller’s “All My Sons.”
