Actor Orlando Bloom is stopping by “Katie” on Friday (Nov. 1), which is one of many talk show appearances he’s made since announcing his split from wife Miranda Kerr. But it’s the first time he’s opening up about it.

“We love each other, we’re a family, we’re going to be in each other’s lives for the rest of our lives,” says Bloom. “There’s no question, for the sake of our son and everything else, we’re going to support one another and love each other as parents to Flynn.

“Life sometimes doesn’t work out exactly as we plan or hope for, but fortunately, we’re both adults … we’re professionals and we love and care about each other. We most of all love our son,” he adds.

Tune into “Katie” Friday to see the rest of the interview.
