Chris Pratt’s star continues to rise. As if being an important part of “Parks and Recreation” and the lead in Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” wasn’t enough, Pratt is reportedly up for the male lead in “Jurassic World.”
According to THR, Pratt is in early talks to star in the movie, alongside Bryce Dallas Howard. His role, a rugged ex-military man, was originally believed to be going to Josh Brolin. However, that possibility has passed.
Ty Simpkins (“Insidious 2,” “Iron Man 3”) and Nick Robinson (“Melissa & Joey”) are the other two names confirmed for the movie, which will be directed by Colin Trevorrow and produced by Steven Spielberg.
Back when the movie was still “Jurassic Park 4” it was looking at a 2014 release. However, the project was put on hold in May, with a 2015 release date and new title announced in September.
