Rock star Paul McCartney is once again off the market. The former Beatle wed Nancy Shevell at Marylebone Town Hall in central London, as hundreds of fans and photographers gathered outside to greet them Sunday afternoon (Oct. 9).
Shevell, 51, was wearing a simple white dress designed by McCartney’s daughter Stella, from his first marriage to Linda Eastman. Linda and Paul were married in the same town hall in 1969 and were together until she passed away from breast cancer in 1998.
McCartney’s second marriage, to model Heather Mills, ended in divorce in 2008. Their daughter, Beatrice, served as the flower girl and Paul’s younger brother Mike was the best man, according to the AP. Also in attendance were former bandmate Ringo Starr and his wife Barbara Bach (pictured below).
Speculation had swirled that this weekend was the wedding, as a tent was set up at McCartney’s house in London and decorations, chairs and champagne were delivered for the reception.
Congratulations to Paul and Nancy!
