Pippa Middleton, sister to Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and sister-in-law to Prince William, made headlines last month when she was photographed riding around in a convertible in Paris where the driver appeared to have pulled a gun and aimed it at the photographer. Now rumors are swirling that she is being “exiled” to NYC.
British magazine Grazia is reporting that the 28-year-old has been keeping a low profile since “gun gate,” which might turn into her leaving the London social scene and moving abroad for awhile. A source says, “Pippa had been considering moving to Paris. But now that’s off the cards, she’s been investigating opportunities in America. She would love to move to New York as she’ll be spending time there when her book launches.”
The book in question is a 400,000 deal Pippa signed with Penguin Publishing for a party-planning book, the interview rights for which are reportedly being pursued by Oprah Winfrey and Barbara Walters.
It may make sense for her to escape the London limelight for a time. Palace officials are rumored to refer to her as “the Pippa Problem” and a source tells Grazia that Pippa “has felt a frosty front from many in the royal set since Paris.”
We think Pippa would probably love NYC. Do you think she should set sail for the New World?
