President Obama‘s visit to “The Daily Show,” a first for a sitting president, was good for 2.8 million viewers, which is about a million more than the show usually earns, according to the New York Times.
Comedy Central has reported that it was the third-highest-rated episode of the news satire show, behind then-candidate Barack Obama appearing on the show in October 2008 and his wife Michelle Obama’s appearance that same month.
“The Daily Show” audience has steadily been right around 1.87 million viewers over the last three years. Did you watch President Obama’s sit down with Jon Stewart? If you missed it, we’ve got video here.
