pretty little liars fatal finale 2014 'Pretty Little Liars' fatal finale: Mona uncovers Alison's connection to Bethany YoungUPDATE: Janel Parrish dishes the dirt on [spoiler’s] killer

It’s the Fatal Finale for “Pretty Little Liars.” As always — be warned of spoilers ahead. If you haven’t watched “Taking This One to the Grave” yet, don’t keep reading.

The death

It would seem the “fatal” part of the Season 5 summer finale is none other than Mona Vanderwaal. She appears to have been attacked in her bedroom and a monster fight ensued between her and a hoodie-wearing blonde person. Alison? Alison’s twin? Cindy or Mindy in a wig?

We were going to call shenanigans because there was no body, but at the end of the episode, the viewers were shown Mona’s body in “A’s” trunk. That seems to be pretty indicative. RIP, Mona.

We also found out that Alison lured Bethany Young to Rosewood after uncovering her mom’s affair with Bethany’s dad. So, did Alison kill Bethany, among the two dozen other things she did that night? Or was it perhaps Alison’s deranged twin?

In other news …

Spencer has been arrested for Bethany Young’s murder. Alison’s foray into the police station didn’t paint a pretty picture of Spencer’s activities the night Bethany died and Alison disappeared. That, coupled with what the police already knew, spelled arrest warrant for Spencer. Can Melissa’s video save her now?

Season 5b

There was a lot of talk about college in this episode. Do you think the hiatus will be the time jump to after college? That would throw viewers for quite a loop, but we wouldn’t put it past this show. It seems more likely the time jump will be between Seasons 5 and 6, but you never know.

What did you think of the “Pretty Little Liars” summer finale? Do you have questions for Janel Parrish? Leave ’em in the comments, we’re interviewing her tomorrow.
