“Pretty Little Liars” star Shay Mitchell is here to dish about the upcoming annual Halloween episode, which she says is really exciting, especially this year because they’re introducing “Ravenswood.”

“This is the introduction to ‘Ravenswood,’ which I think we’re all very proud of … I feel kind of like a proud mom giving birth to a new show [laughs] even though it’s not my show. … I’m so excited for that show, I know it’s gonna be so great. It’s gonna be really cool and it’s nice that we kind of get to open the door to introducing it to everybody,” says Mitchell. She also adds that every Halloween episode is just a little bit more special than the regular season episodes.

“Every single episode is like a small feature film, where there is so much action that happens. The storylines are always getting amped up … so the Halloween episode is sort of like the cherry on top for the season, where it’s like that little bit more goes into the set, a little bit more goes into our costumes.”

“It’s something we all really get excited for, so it is really special,” says Mitchell.

And below, she adds that “PLL” can be pretty complicated at times — “Even sometimes I get a little confused.”

The “Pretty Little Liars” Halloween episode airs Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
