Holiday shopping season is upon us and if
you’re like us, you are always looking for fun suggestions for loved
ones. For the special “Psych” fan in your life, here are some recommendations from Zap2it. Meanwhile, don’t forget to tune into “Psych: The Musical” on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on USA. It’s going to be epic.
Gifts under $50
“Psych: The Musical” ($16.99): Pre-order the musical event of the season. It’s available starting Dec. 17.
“100 Clues” floorplan T-shirt ($26.99): We’re striving to find more off-the-beaten-path gifts for TV fans in these gift guides, but there are a few gems at the official USA store and this is one of them. It’s a T-shirt that features the floor plan of the mansion in the “Clue” send-up episode (pictured above, left).
Pineapple cookie jar ($39.99): One more from the official store — the cookie jar. It’s beautiful and we know several people who actually collect cookie jars and like “Psych,” so this would be perfect for them.
Kitchen prints (set of 2, $10): A creative Etsy merchant has turned two “Psych” food-related phrases into pretty prints that would look lovely framed and hanging on the kitchen wall. One (pictured right) says, “Are you a fan of delicious flavor?” and the other says, “I can’t help it, my body craves buttery goodness.”
Gifts under $100
“Black and Tan” Necklace Set ($50): If you and your bestie are “Psych” fans, check out these hand-stamped stainless steel tags with pineapple charms labeled “Black” and “Tan.” This is so amazing we wish we had a “Psych” BFF to share them with (pictured above, middle).
Set of 4 pineapple wine glasses and pineapple stopper ($55.00): If you’re like us (and over 21), you enjoy cracking open a nice bottle of vino with your favorite psychic detectives. Perhaps you’ve invented a “Psych” drinking game. Now you can imbibe in style with these pineapple-themed wine glasses and beautiful bottle stopper (pictured above, right).
Gifts over $100
The Alfred Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection ($108): “Mr. Yin Presents…” is one of our favorite “Psych” episodes of all time. We’re huge Hitchcock fans and the episode was made that much more enjoyable by understanding and appreciating all the references. So if you aren’t familiar, you should check out this collection of his movies — “Saboteur,” “Shadow of a Doubt,” “Rope,” “Rear Window,” “The Trouble with Harry,” “The Man Who Knew Too Much,” “Vertigo,” “North by Northwest,” “Psycho,” “The Birds,” “Marnie,” “Torn Curtain,” “Topaz,” “Frenzy” and “Family Plot” are all included, which is a good start.
A Santa Barbara trip (roughly $1000): If you’re in California and have a grand burning a hole in your pocket, you should take a weekend away in beautiful Santa Barbara. No, “Psych” is not filmed there, but the show is set there and has used a few locations (like the county courthouse). You can get a spa weekend at a local resort for $384/night.
