Could Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen‘s split be only short term? The “Midnight in Paris” couple’s breakup was announced after they had been together for two years. However, a source tells E! News that their split is only “temporary.” In the words of “The Notebook,” “It wasn’t over. It still isn’t over.”
“It’s likely not permanent. Temporary hiccup,” the insider says, adding that it’s expected that McAdams and Sheen will get back together.
Sheen has always credited “Midnight in Paris” for being the project that brought McAdams into his life. “I will be forever grateful that it was where I met Rachel,” Sheen said at the time. Though the couple was first linked in 2010, they didn’t go public with their relationship until May 2011.
This isn’t the first time McAdams’ onscreen romance has turned into an offscreen one as well. She and Ryan Gosling fell in love on the set of “The Notebook” and, though they broke up for good back in 2008, we’ve been clamoring for them to get back together ever since. Sorry, Eva Mendes.
