The CW officially unveiled its newest shining star during the network’s 2011/12 upfront presentation — and they’re not being shy about it.
The first spot for “Ringer” declares “Sarah Michelle Gellar is back” — and after months of hearing about the pilot, the promos actually give away a bit more information than we were anticipating.
And it’s all about her.
Mike Colter makes an appearance on the other end of a cryptic phone call and Kristoffer Polaha is seen lurking in a street, but Gellar’s other co-stars — Ioan Gruffudd, Nestor Carbonell and Tara Summers — all take a back seat to the leading lady.
Or “ladies,” rather. We get to see Gellar as both the unraveling Bridget and her wealthy, mysterious sister, Siobhan. But don’t get used to the latter. As the clips show, Siobhan doesn’t live through the first episode, making way for Bridget to assume her identity.
But is anything really as it seems?
