The second season of “Ripper Street” is coming to a close with a high-stakes boxing match. Inspector Shine is taking part in a boxing match, but Inspector Reid and Sergeant Drake want to make sure he pays for his evil ways.
The only way to do that is to replace the boxer he’s to face. That means the guy has to be incapacitated. One cricket bat to the hand later and that becomes possible.
“Ripper Street’s” Season 2 finale airs Saturday (April 12) at 9 p.m. ET on BBC America.

Chris E. Hayner is equal parts nerd, crazy person and coffee. He watches too much TV, knows more about pro wrestling than you do and remembers every single show from the TGIF lineup. You may have seen him as a pro-shark protester in "Sharknado 3." His eventual memoir will be called "You're Wrong, Here's Why..." TV words to live by: "I'm a firm believer that sometimes it's right to do the wrong thing."
