royal baby due date july 13 Royal baby due date is July 13, during Queen Elizabeth's Coronation Festival, reports The Daily MailThe Daily Mail reports that it can reveal Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge‘s official due date for the royal baby — Saturday, July 13.

A source reportedly tells the Mail, “Some of Kate and William’s closest pals were at a barbecue hosted by a family friend of the Royals recently. They were all discussing the fact that Kate’s baby is due to be born on July 13. Everyone is very excited.”

If that is indeed Kate’s due date, it puts the baby on course to be born smack in the middle of Queen Elizabeth’s Coronation Festival. The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, celebrating 60 years as the monarch, may have taken place in 2012, but the 60th anniversary of her actual coronation is 2013.

The coronation took place June 2, 1953, but it is being celebrated this year July 11-14 with an event that includes a daytime festival and a nighttime gala, both open to member of the public who purchase tickets.

Guess the Queen will have to celebrate without William and Kate, since chances are good they’ll be busy at the hospital, or home with a newborn. The baby is expected to be born in the private Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, which is where Prince William was born.

Speculation is running rampant about whether William and Kate having a boy or a girl. Back in early March, Kate may have slipped up when a fan gave her a teddy bear and she started to say, “Thank you, I’ll take that for me d-” and the excited woman asked her if she meant to say “daughter.” Kate played coy.

However, a recent report from the Daily Mirror says that Prince Harry actually let it slip to some friends that his older brother is having a boy.

As for the due date, a Palace spokesman tells the Daily Mail, “We have only said that the Duchess is due in July. Anything further would be speculation.”
