– NBC has ordered a comedy pilot starring, co-created by and loosely based on the life of Sarah Silverman. The show will follow Silverman’s character as she explores single life again after ending a long-term relationship. She wrote the pilot script with Dan Sterling and Jon Schroeder, who worked with her on “The Sarah Silverman Program” at Comedy Central. [Deadline]

– Get ready to see even more of Andy Cohen on Bravo. The cable channel will expand its talk show “Watch What Happens: Live” to five nights a week (Sunday-Thursday) starting Jan. 8 (which presumably means more non-Bravo guests). Cohen also has a new executive title at Bravo and will focus on developing new original shows. [Bravo]

Ewan McGregor has taken his first regular role on a TV series with a lead in HBO’s adaptation of Jonathan Franzen’s novel “The Corrections.” He’ll play Chip, the middle child of Alfred (Chris Cooper) and Enid (Dianne Wiest), in the pilot, which Franzen co-wrote with director Noah Baumbach. – FOX’s midseason drama “Touch” has added Roxana Brusso (“Southland”) to its cast. She’ll play a physical therapist who works with the autistic but mysteriously gifted son of Kiefer Sutherland‘s character. [EW]

Conan O’Brien is in need of some “Web Therapy.” The late-night host will appear in three episodes of the online version of the series (which made the jump to Showtime over the summer) as he seeks help from Fiona Wallice (Lisa Kudrow). O’Brien has the distinction of being the first celebrity to play himself on the show. [Hollywood Reporter

Amy Poehler will produce a comedy pilot for FX called “Broad City,” based on a web series created by two fellow members of the Upright Citizens Brigade, Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson. Glazer and Jacobson will also star in the show, about two best friends in New York. [Deadline]
