“Scandal” star Kerry Washington stops by “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” Thursday (Nov. 14), where host Ellen shows off some of Kerry’s “magazine” covers.

Knitting Week: “Kerry’s knitting disaster! You won’t believe what happened.”

Chess Masters: “Kerry Washington, Scandalous moves”

Pantsuit Monthly: “Kerry Washington shows you how to dress up your pantsuit.” — “I’m actually the editor-in-chief of that one,” she cracks.

Kale Quarterly: “Fall kale fashion with Kerry Washington”

But in all seriousness, Washington says she doesn’t really keep up with all the press that much. She’d rather “stick to the work.” But her mom is more than happy to compile her clippings.

“Early on, I figured I might have a grandchild one day who wants to see this stuff, but I don’t want to live with it in my house, so I send it to my mother and she archives it and she gets to be proud of it,” says Washington. “Put them in plastic folders and things so they’re good after there’s a meteor shower.”

“Scandal” airs Thursday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. Below, Washington talks about the hit show — “The show is inspired by a real woman, Judy Smith, who was a fixer.”
