If you were about to ask someone for a million dollars to invest in your business, would you wear sandals to the meeting?

One of the entrepreneurs on Friday’s (Oct. 11) “Shark Tank” does just that. Garrett Gee, co-founder of a company called Scan, approaches the Sharks to ask them to invest in his business, a mobile app that scans barcodes and QR codes.

As you can see in this clip, which is exclusive to Zap2it, Gee is not thinking small: He asks for $1 million for a 5 percent stake in the company, which draws some bemused smiles from the panel. As he demonstrates the app and gives his pitch, Robert Herjavec is interested in another detail.

“I’ve got to tell you,” he says to Gee. “I’ve never had somebody ask for a million dollars in flip-flops.”

Will Gee get his money? You can find out when “Shark Tank” airs at 9 p.m. ET Friday on ABC.
