“Smallville” star and frequent “Desperate Housewives” guest John Schneider will make his way from Smallville and Wisteria Lane to Ohio to see Betty White. He joins a roster of guest stars for the second season of “Hot in Cleveland,” which premieres on Wednesday, Jan. 19 at 10 p.m. ET. Among the other guest stars “Melrose Place’s” Jack Wagner, “The View’s” Sherri Shepherd, “Seinfeld” star Wayne Knight, Illeana Douglas, Melanie Griffith, David Starzyk of “Desperate Housewives” and Bonnie Franklin, who reunites with her “One Day at a Time” daughter Valerie Bertinelli. Mary Tyler Moore was previously announced to appear in the season premiere. [TV Land]

Haven’t caught up with those slow-moving zombies on “The Walking Dead”? Sunday, Nov. 14 is your chance to catch a mini-marathon of the first two episodes — the awesome “Days Gone Bye” and “Guts” — beginning at 8 p.m. ET leading into the third episode, “Tell It to the Frogs.” [AMC]

Speaking of AMC, the channel says it’s canceling its well-reviewed but lightly watched series “Rubicon” after one season. “This was not an easy decision, but we are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such a phenomenally talented and dedicated team,” AMC says in a statement. [AMC]

Alyssa Milano as a professional stunt double? Only on television. And on a cartoon, specifically Disney XD’s “Kick Buttowski.” The actress will voice the character Scarlet Rosetti, who helps Clarence “Kick” Buttowski find his inner daredevil. Also, Henry Winkler will lend his voice to the principal who accuses Kick of a crime he didn’t commit. [TV Guide]

FOX’s comedy pilto “Outnumbered” has a male lead to play opposite “Ugly Betty’s” Ana Ortiz. Theater actor Cliff Chamberlain has landed the pilot playing part of a couple (with Ortiz) who get a bit overwhelmed by their three kids. In other FOX pilot news, “Breaking In” starring Christian Slater may get picked up for midseason. The series centers on a digital security firm.  [Deadline]
