steven spipelberg minority report gi Steven Spielberg producing 'Minority Report' TV series, hires 'Godzilla' writer

Steven Spielberg is looking to adapt his movie “Minority Report” into a TV series, produced by his Amblin Television. The report comes from TheWrap, who cites a source that says “Godzilla” screenwriter Max Borenstein has been hired for the project.
While reps for neither Spielberg or Borenstein have commented, the report says it’s expected that the series will look for a recognizable name to play the lead, much like Amblin-produced “Extant” did with Halle Berry. “Minority Report” is based on a futuristic Phillip K. Dick story set in a world where the police use psychics to help stop crime before it occurs. The movie starred Tom Cruise.
One aspect of the potential series that might cause a little confusion is the name. “The Minority Report with Larry Wilmore” will debut on Comedy Central after Stephen Colbert wraps up “The Colbert Report.” However, TheWrap reports “Minority Report” is expected to retain its title.
