“Suits” is getting another year on USA. The cable channel announced Monday (Aug. 11) that it’s picked up Season 5 of the show.
“‘Suits’ continues to fire on all cylinders, delivering provocative storytelling and complex characters that viewers can’t get enough of,” network president Chris McCumber says in a statement. “With some of the best writing on television, and a brilliant ensemble cast, we anticipate a spectacular fifth season for a series that has become a marquee property for USA.”
So far this summer, “Suits” is averaging about 4 million viewers per episode, with 1.6 million of those in the 18-49 demographic.
Season 5 of the legal drama will run for 16 episodes and is set to premiere in summer 2015. The current season’s summer finale is set for Aug. 20, with the remaining episodes due early next year.
