jeff probst survivor renewal 2013 'Survivor' and Jeff Probst staying on CBS through 2012 13“Survivor” will continue its run as the most durable reality-competition show on network television for one more year.

CBS has picked up two more cycles of the series for the 2012-13 season — they’ll be the 25th and 26th editions of the show, which debuted in the summer of 2000. Host and executive producer Jeff Probst will be back as well.

The network also says the second cycle of “Survivor” for this season will premiere Wednesday, Feb. 15.

“I am extremely proud of the continuing success of ‘Survivor,’ which is due to the immense loyalty of our millions of fans,” executive producer Mark Burnett says. “We are excited to offer two more seasons of ‘Survivor’ and look forward to entertaining audiences for years to come.”

“Survivor: South Pacific” is averaging about 12.3 million viewers and a 3.8 rating in adults 18-49 this fall (including DVR viewing).
