Taylor Swift has taken another movie role, although she won’t be in front of the camera this time.
Swift will be part of the voice cast for “The Lorax,” an animated adaptation of the Dr. Seuss book that’s due to hit theaters in March 2012. She’ll play Audrey, the love interest for Zac Efron‘s Ted, a boy who’s trying to save the forest and in doing so, hopes Audrey will notice him.
So let the Tswizzle-Zefron couple rumors begin in about 3 … 2 … 1 …
The movie’s cast also includes Danny DeVito as the Lorax, Ed Helms as the villain Once-ler, Betty White and Rob Riggle. Director Chris Renaud and writers Ken Daurio and Cinco Paul, all of whom worked on “Despicable Me,” are shepherding “The Lorax” to the screen.
Swift, who’s currently touring Europe, is up for three awards, including entertainer of the year, at the Academy of Country Music Awards. They’re set to air April 3 on CBS.
