terry francona lost gi Terry Francona gets lost walking to Cleveland Indians home opener

The new manager of the Cleveland Indians baseball team might need a map. While taking the two-block walk from his apartment to the ballpark Monday, Terry Francona got lost, the Associated Press reports. Luckily, he didn’t miss the first home game of the season. Instead, an Indians staff member picked him up in a golf cart.
“I got lost three times,” Francona says, “Even when I got to the garage two people who work here said, ‘Hey, do you know where you’re going?’ I was like, ‘Nope.'” He made some new friends along the way, though. “Cleveland is officially the nicest people I’ve ever met,” he says, “Everybody I did walk by said, ‘Hello.’ That’s a little different than I’m used to.” Before signing with the Indians, he spent eight seasons as manager of the Boston Red Sox
Francona plans to ride a scooter to the ballpark in the future, and he enjoys being close to his workplace. “If I had my druthers on the road, I would rather stay in a motel next to the ballpark than have to drive a half-hour.” Thankfully, now he knows the way.
