the 100 day trip devon bostick interview 'The 100': Devon Bostick teases Jasper's PTSD, the fight against the Grounders and more Jasper’s had a pretty rough time down on Earth so far on “The 100.” On the very first day that the teens arrived on the ground, he was hurt pretty badly by the mysterious Grounders. In fact, Jasper was supposed to die from his injuries, but everyone loved Devon Bostick on the show so much that he got a reversal of fate.

That doesn’t mean he’s had an easier time since getting speared. Quite the contrary. Bostick tells Zap2it that even though he’s had a miraculous recovery, Jasper is dealing with some PTSD from the attack.

“Jasper got speared pretty badly,” Bostick says with a laugh. “After being speared once he’s got a lot of emotion built up, a lot of fear, a lot of anger, so we’re going to see him let that out. But Jasper might get over his fears and really start to take action and join the 100 in their fight against the Grounders.”

Now that the 100 have kidnapped one of the Grounders (check out what the hostage told Zap2it here), Bostick says we’ll learn more about what the Grounder situation is like on Earth. “There’s some very interesting stuff coming up with the Grounders,” Bostick says. “They’re trying to kill us, but then it seems like sometimes they’re not. So we will find out the motives behind that and what’s really going on there. Because doesn’t it seem like they’ve got mixed agendas? We’ll figure out that soon.”

While Bostick remains cryptic about the Grounders, he couldn’t contain his excitement when it came to talking about how dark the show is going to continue to get. “The intensity is raised for every episode going forward,” Bostick says. “That’s what I love about this show. Every episode adds a new component and was shot a different way, and the intensity is turned up a notch. You’re going to see a lot of action, a lot of heartbreak, a lot of difficult decisions and more murder. Just a lot of really dark stuff.”

“The 100” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
