“The 100” Season 2 will bring a much different Clarke than audiences saw at the beginning of Season 1. She is now a battle-toughened leader now captured by the unknown forces inhabiting Mount Weather. Actress Eliza Taylor previewed the new season to reporters at the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con.

Many of Taylor’s answers focus on Clarke’s reaction to her Mount Weather captivity and the various romantic entanglements she may or may not avoid in Season 2.

Zap2it: What will Clarke be like in Season 2?
Taylor: A lot more of the same. She’s just getting darker and darker and what I love about what’s happening throughout the series, of going from being a prisoner to becoming this fearless leader and then being a prisoner again, since the last time we saw her it came full circle. She’s back in this position of being helpless and a prisoner. You can expect her to use some of the skills she’s picked up outside to fight as hard as she can to get out.

Will she be escaping from Mount Weather anytime soon?
She’s gone Jason Bourne. She’s turned into such a crazy fighter. You’re definitely going to see her do whatever she can to find out where her people are and if they’re alive and she’s going to try to get out.

Can we expect Clarke and Finn to have any romance this season?
I don’t think that the story is going in that direction. I think they don’t want it to be a typical CW show. And I’m okay with that. I did love their relationship but I think we had that moment too soon in the series. They could have kept it where they kept people guessing will they-won’t they a little bit longer. Once it was done with the entrance of Raven, I just think that there were more important things to do like fight Grounders.

What about Clarke and Bellamy?
I think the dynamic between Bellamy and Clarke is really interesting and given the fan reaction, I’d certainly like to see that develop more. But they won’t tell me if that’s going to happen, and I don’t even know if we’re going to see him again!

“The 100” Season 2 premieres Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
