ultimate warrior dies wwe reacts 'The Goldbergs' to dedicate May 6 episode to the Ultimate WarriorProfessional wrestler Ultimate Warrior (real name Jim Hellwig) passed away from a heart attack two weeks ago, just days after his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. The wrestling world was heartbroken and so was Adam Goldberg, the creator behind ABC’s new hit comedy “The Goldbergs.”

Like any kid of the ’80s, Goldberg was a huge fan of Ultimate Warrior and tells TMZ that he already had a wrestling-themed episode in the works, so now it will be dedicated to his boyhood hero.

“With the help of fans on Twitter, I was able to get in touch with [Warrior’s] family and I’m thrilled to dedicate the May 6th episode to him,” says Goldberg. “It’s my way of saying thank you for being the coolest hero a kid could ever have.”

We hear you, Goldberg. We had the Ultimate Warrior wrestling buddy.

“The Goldbergs” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
