Fans of “The Hunger Games” have a wonderful new tidbit to feast their eyes on and it’s the biggest teaser yet, as the official first trailer debuted on “Good Morning America” Monday morning (Nov. 14).

The trailer shows Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) volunteering to fight in the Hunger Games in the place of her sister Primrose (Willow Shields), Katniss’ training for the games, and shots of many supporting characters, including Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks), Haymitch Abernathy (Woody Harrelson), Caesar Flickerman (Stanley Tucci) and President Snow (Donald Sutherland).

Josh Hutcherson, who plays Peeta in “The Hunger Games,” was in Times Square to talk with “GMA” about the movie.

“The characters and the story are just so interesting, it drives you to want to know what happens to Katniss and what journey she is going to take,” says Hutcherson. “The world of ‘The Hunger Games’ is so amazing.”

As for the phenomenon of being in a movie this big after having been acting for nearly 10 years, Hutcherson says, “It’s one of those things that I still don’t really believe it. It’s very surreal … to have worked at it for so long and to have such a great movie coming out, … it’s an honor to be a part of that.”

“The Hunger Games” debuts nationwide on March 23, 2012.
