“The Killer Speaks” is back on A&E Thursday (May 1) for its second season. The premiere episode is titled “Gene Meredith: Devil Inside,” and features the reenactment of a Montana manhunt for the stabbing death of a corrections officer, all being narrated by the killer himself.

The episode description reads: “In Great Falls, Mont., detectives are called to the scene of a grizzly crime, a 51-year-old former corrections officer is found dead. This is the second seemingly random murder in six weeks, a chilling statistic in a city that sees only about six homicides a year. As the hunt for the killer begins, detectives race to stop him before he hurts anyone else. Now, for the first time, the killer explains what happened that night and reveals why he killed.”

Check out the above preview for Season 2, where you can hear the killers speaking of their crimes: “The voices were telling me, ‘Let’s do it again.’ I thought it was the devil talking to me,” “I just wanted to kill as many people as I could before they caught me” and “Nobody had a clue that I did this murder.”

“The Killer Speaks” airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on A&E.
