michael j fox show christopher lloyd 'The Michael J. Fox Show': Christopher Lloyd reunites with his 'Back to the Future' co starMarty McFly and Doc Brown are getting together again.

Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd scored three box-office hits with the “Back to the Future” movies. A tweet sent Tuesday (Nov. 19) by Fox indicates a reunion is imminent: Lloyd is about to do a guest shot on the Thursday NBC sitcom “The Michael J. Fox Show.”

In response to the query, “Do you and Christopher Lloyd still hang out/keep in touch?,” Fox replied: “Newsflash: He’s shooting next week’s episode.”

That story casts Lloyd as a high-school principal who’s the boss of teacher Annie (Betsy Brandt), wife of TV newsman Mike Henry (Fox). Since the new character is described as an “eccentric,” he’s certainly in line with other Lloyd roles — including that of Reverend Jim Ignatowski on “Taxi,” which earned the actor two Emmy Awards.

Lloyd’s stint makes another notable guest star for Fox’s current series, which has Candice Bergen and Charles Grodin as his parents in a Thanksgiving episode Thursday (Nov. 21). Anne Heche and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie also have appeared on the show, and Matt Lauer and much of the main “Today” team were in the pilot episode.

Lloyd and Fox already have reunited on camera since their “Back to the Future” days: Lloyd also was featured in an episode of Fox’s series “Spin City” in 1999.
